Regional Growth Summit May 2020

Cultivating Connections

9:00am-5:00pm, May 27th, 2020

The Regional Growth Summit for May 2020 was a virtual business summit dedicated to regional Australia. It was held on May 27th, and included speakers from the likes of Canva, HubSpot, Shopify, Cynch, Plattar, Xero alongside lots of regional business examples on how best to use digital technology to help grow your business.

If you missed watching the event on the day, or even wanting to go back in to take another look, everything has been recorded to enable you to go in and listen to each session again. We’ve also uploaded the slides from each speaker for your reference.

What was it about?

The current global climate has surged digital disruption towards all parts of the business community. Being able to come together and connect with those who have like-minded ambitions and challenges is increasingly important, just as the virtual world has become vital to sourcing suppliers and reaching customers. Central to these connections is the ability of the business community to learn new concepts and practical skills and implement strategies and tools to sustain and grow their business.

The 2020 Regional Growth Summit covered:

During the May 2020 Summit, attendees learnt about a range of digital technologies available and how they can be used to build a healthy and sustainable business. This event was for startups, scale-ups or small to medium businesses in Regional Australia.

The event also highlighted:

  • Introductions to technology and digital practices

  • Exposure to modern business strategies and operations

  • Marketing and customer experience knowledge and skills

  • Business strategy, tips, tricks and implementation

  •  Business strategy, tips, tricks and implementation

  •  Hear about local stories of innovation

  •  Practical ways to improve, scale and grow business

This one-day virtual summit is based on our 'Teach, not tell' philosophy, where you can hear from other businesses who have used strategic thinking, technology and marketing as an enabler to create positive change in their business.

Join and meet fellow regional and rural business owners in these interactive sessions with networking opportunities.  Participate in a marketing Masterclass or Workshop, or simply be inspired by stories of regional and rural Australian businesses. (See the full agenda below)

We recognise that many business owners have limited time, money and resources to work on their business, so this event is focused on creating change using simple steps and providing the inspiration and support that is traditionally hard to access in Regional areas.

Based on the current challenges across the country, there are many opportunities to listen to online events that provide theoretical ways to help build a healthy and sustainable business. However, the greatest impact comes from not simply being told, but getting practical help with real-life explanations and examples.
